This event is for young people ages 13 to 30. The focus of this day will be the Siddha Yoga practice of seva, selfless service.

Throughout the day you will engage in the Siddha Yoga practices of meditation, chanting, and seva. To support your practices, there will be time for reflection, journaling, movement, and discussion. You will also have opportunities to share with each other about your understanding and experience of a teaching from Gurumayi on the spiritual practice of seva.

A Siddha Yoga Satsang in Honor of Baba Muktananda’s Mahasamadhi

Mahasamadhi is when a realized yogi leaves their physical body and merges with supreme Consciousness. The anniversary of this sacred event is a time to honor and pay tribute to that great saint. The satsang starts with an abhanga, during wihich the Hall will be closed to entry. Please be in your seat by 6:55 p.m.

If you are new to the Siddha Yoga path, you are invited to attend a Welcome Orientation, which will occur 30 minutes before the satsang. The orientation includes a brief introduction to the Siddha Yoga path and to the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland.

There will be a Special Meal available for purchase at the Amrit Cafe at 5:30 p.m. Please RSVP so we can be better prepared to welcome you.

Siddha Yoga Chanting and Meditation Session at Shambho Meadow

Please join us for a Chanting and Meditation Session at the Outdoor Meditation Hall in Shambho Meadow. Everyone, young and old, is welcome to this event produced and hosted by Young People.

We will be chanting in a call and response fashion. As we chant sacred sanskrit syllables set to music, we are drawn to higher levels of awareness.

The Outdoor Meditation Hall will have chair seating. Please bring your own cushions.
