The day will begin with the recitation of Shri Guru Gita and end with the Arati in the Bhagavan Nityananda Temple. Throughout the day you will engage in the spiritual practices of seva, meditation, and chanting.

Gurupurnima is celebrated at the time of the full moon of the month of Ashada (July-August), which is honored as the most auspicious and important full moon of the entire year. This moon’s luminous brilliance and perfect form are seen as expressions of the Guru’s gift of grace and the attainment of Self-realization.

In this satsang, we will prepare for Sweet Surprise 2025 by listening to a talk by Siddha Yoga meditation teacher Swami Ishwarananda called “The Power of Listening to Learn—The Power of Learning to Listen.”
We’ll be participating via an audio webcast produced by the SYDA Foundation. After the audio webcast, we will chant and meditate.
If you are new to the Siddha Yoga path, you are invited to attend a Welcome Orientation, which will occur 30 minutes before the satsang. The orientation includes a brief introduction to the Siddha Yoga path and to the Siddha Yoga Ashram in Oakland.

In this Siddha Yoga satsang, designed especially for families with children 12 and under, families will engage with the Siddha Yoga teachings and practices together, such as chanting and meditation. There will be a dancing saptah as part of this satsang. During a dancing saptah, the continuous chanting of the name of God is accompanied by dancing in a circle in a series of measured steps as an act of devotion and a joyful experience of meditation in motion.
After the satsang, families are invited to enter the Bhagavan Nityananda Temple for the Kundalini Stavaha chant.

The Reflection Satsang is for people who have participated in the Shaktipat Intensive so they can reflect on their experiences and gain greater insight and understanding about the teachings they received and the practices they did in the Intensive.
