Siddha Yoga Hatha Yoga

Every part of our being is divine—the body, the mind, the energy that enlivens us. We practice hatha yoga to recognize that a divine light shines within us.

At the same time, we receive many physical benefits from hatha yoga. Our bodies become stronger and more flexible, allowing the muscles to relax. As our body gets more supple, we can sit comfortably and easily for longer periods of meditation.


A Series of Five Weekly Hatha Yoga Classes

This series of classes taught by ClaireMarie Holman, a Siddha Yoga hatha yoga teacher, will focus on how drawing our awareness to the breath supports the opening of the body. All poses are basic hatha yoga postures taught at a slow pace. Familiarity with hatha yoga practice is required. Each class will end with restorative poses. Props, including yoga mats, will be provided to support gentle and easeful movement. You are also welcome to bring your own hatha yoga mat.

Dates: Thursdays, November 7, 14, and 21, and December 5 and 12
Time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:15 p.m.
Fees: Series of 5 classes: $54.

Pre-registration is required for an entire series. Please register early.

  • Dress: Comfortable exercise clothes (long pants and shirts with sleeves)

  • Props including yoga mats are available. You are also welcome to bring your own.
